Convent on Dec. 31, 1999. 396 S. Convent on Dec. 31, 2018. It’s gone white and the door on the left is a door no more. This “before” photo is even older — probably about 1989. It shows 396 S. It is difficult to tell from this photo, but the brick and stone along the bottom of the building are popping out. December 2018. See that person walking in front of the vacant lot in 1980? Remember that lot. The vacant lot became 501 S. Convent by December 1999. 501 S. Convent in December 2018. To be continued.
